How to Use the Grade Calculator

1. Add Assignments: Click the "Add Assignment" button to add rows for each assignment or category
2. Enter Assignment Details: For each assignment, enter:
   • Assignment name (e.g., "Midterm Exam", "Homework Average")
   • Weight (percentage this assignment contributes to final grade)
   • Points earned (your score or percentage for this assignment)
3. Calculate: Click "Calculate Grade" to see your overall grade percentage and letter grade
4. Remove Assignments: Use the "Remove" button to delete any assignment row

Understanding Weighted Grades

Weighted grades give different assignments different levels of importance in your final grade. For example:

• Exams might be worth 40% of your final grade
• Homework might be worth 30%
• Projects might be worth 20%
• Participation might be worth 10%

The weights should add up to 100%. This calculator automatically handles the weighted average calculation.

Letter Grade Scale

The calculator uses a standard grading scale:

• A: 90-100%
• B: 80-89%
• C: 70-79%
• D: 60-69%
• F: Below 60%
