How to download a YouTube thumbnail

  1. Copy the video's URL (from the address bar or Share button).
  2. Paste it above and click Get.

Available sizes

  • Max-res (1280×720) — full HD, when the uploader provided one.
  • High (480×360), Medium (320×180), Standard (640×480) — always available.

Thumbnails are served from YouTube's public image servers. Please respect copyright — use thumbnails only where you have the right to.

Why is the HD version missing for some videos?

Max-res thumbnails only exist if the original video was uploaded in HD. Older or low-res videos won't have one — use the High/Standard size instead.
